Professional Summary
Hi, I'm Hayden!
I am an experienced educator, curriculum designer, and EdTech specialist passionate about creating engaging, technology-driven learning experiences. As a founding team member of Innovation High School, I developed project-based history curricula that emphasized critical thinking and creativity.
With expertise in educational technology, AI integration, and UX design, I hold Google Educator Level 1 & 2 certifications, along with training in Salesforce CRM, AI literacy, and Figma prototyping. My approach blends data-driven insights with human-centered design to create accessible learning solutions.
I hold a Master’s in Education (M.Ed.), with an emphasis on globalization in education, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA), focused in Urban Planning & Environmental Policy, which shaped my interdisciplinary problem-solving skills. Further, I have completed extensive professional development in inclusive instruction, student-centered learning, and curriculum frameworks.
Beyond the classroom, I created HistQuick, a TeachersPayTeachers storefront providing simple, structured history resources to support educators.
I thrive in roles that require creativity, collaboration, and strategic problem-solving. Let’s connect and explore how technology can shape the future of education!
Personal Summary
I live in Washington State with my wife and our one-year-old son. We love road trips to the coast, listening to audiobooks, and exploring the outdoors. Our dog, Maizy, enjoys joining us—especially when there's sand to dig, balls to fetch, or birds to chase.
I like to hit the bowling lanes, having run a high school bowling club and even converting a 7-10 split (though I’m still chasing a perfect 300, with a high game of 287). I’m also a long-distance hiker, having completed the Pacific Crest Trail (2,600 miles from Mexico to Canada) in 2014 and the Appalachian Trail (2,100 miles from Georgia to Maine) in 2016.
Travel is another passion of mine. My international checklist currently includes Mexico and Canada, along with numerous countries across Europe, including Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Greece, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Japan is our family's next goal.
When I have time, I also enjoy Dungeons & Dragons, both as a player and Dungeon Master—including formerly running campaigns for students in a school club. Whether hiking, gaming, or road-tripping, I embrace new experiences and adventures.
